While many knitters often skip the step of knitting a gauge swatch first, it’s a crucial step that can ensure any project you make comes out exactly the right size.

These issues are often created because the knitter didn’t knit with the appropriate gauge, which includes potentially using the incorrect sized needles for the project.

Or, maybe you thought you chose the right sized needles, but as you begin knitting, you notice that they’re not the size you thought they were. If you’re knitting with interchangeable knitting needle tips, maybe you noticed that one needle is a different size than the other, far into your project and have to frog it and start over. Our knitting multi-tool can help you stay organized and measure those gauge swatches! Our multi-tool allows you to both check the size of your knitting needles before beginning a project, and to measure your gauge swatch or a small section of your knitting as well. It features 19 sizes of knitting needles, ranging from US size 0 to US size 17. Each size is also labeled in mm for ease of use. Our knitting multi-tool then features an L-shaped ruler so that you can easily count a 4 inch by 4 inch square of your project. This is the standard size for gauge swatches, and gives an accurate reading of both your stitch and row gauge. The ruler also lists measurements in mm as well as inches. We love this ruler because it’s quicker and easier than pulling out a tape measure for those fast checks to keep you on track. Knitting while baby naps? It’s quiet, too, so no worries about loud tape measures waking your little one!

You can make any knitting multi-tool your own by customizing a laser engraved design on it, too! And just like our knitting multi-tools, all knitting needle organizers are also labeled in mm sizes as well. Our cute designs add a little fun to your craft area, too! On some designs, we even saved some room for additional text to be added. You can customize your own text, or order it with the instructions for how to complete the kitchener stitch, so you’re sure to remember how to close up those top-down socks every time.
